Bolg entry 22: Food project

I went to farmer market on yesterday at union square.   I accompanied with ping.   I have been live in New York approximately two years, but this is my first time see the farmer market.  When I arrived there, I saw many people are shopping.  I walked around and saw more food.  There were many vegetable which I cannot recognize.  I was curious for these unfamiliar foods.  At there, food seems are very flesh and original.  Such as vegetable, tomato juice, apple and honey.  Many potted plant are very attractive for me.  It was spent my little time to choose one plant.  At the end, I bought a lemon plant because I like the smell of lemon leaf. I also bought a bottle of honey and sweet snap peas. 

On night, I cooked the food I bought.  I shelled pea and scooped the pea from inside.  I stir-fry these peas.  I poured a little salt and monosodium glutamate.  Then, I had done.  I asked my mother to eat and told me how taste was.  My mother said the taste is very good.  I was happy for the result. 

Through this experience, I realize there are many food I never see it original appearance.  Most food I see was lost their original appearance in supermarket.  Like the sweet pea, I did not know pea I eat at usual is come from the sweet snap pea.  I learned something. I also have much fun in this experience.   

blog 21 ;reflection

                 In this semester, I worte 18 essays.  In my eye, I think blog 1, blog 11 and blog 16 is three of  my best essays.  Blog 1 is talk about the advertisement.  I  have two commments from my classmate.  They said have a nice essay but there is some grammar errors.  I think I had related to the topic for using my own experience.   I had a clear summary in blog 1.  blog 11 is said about the danger of the reality tv.  This essay I got 58 score.  I was very happy for this result.  blog 16' topic is fast food let them eat fat.  I think this topic is surround to fast food. It is samilar to the "HYPE".  I am not sure I wrote good.  but I hope so. 
                In this semester, this first time use bologer to write every single essay.  I was used to write esssay on peper.  until right now,  I think bloger is a useful tool for student write and record their essay.  we can see our essay and other classmate's essay.  we can see how other people did well.  they also can comment my essay and let be know which part I did not well or well.  I think bloger is let me have a fun experience.  I realize use online resouce is so useful and so much fun.                 
                The final is coming.  I will take the CAT-W test on next thruday.   I learn much thing in this class.  I fell comfortable for this class.  I fell I leave this class with a basic understanding of writhing strategies.  professor talked about in class ever and he also give some advice for writhing a essay.  I would recommend to take his class to other student who will be take the ENG099 class.

blog 18:Technology and Society

In  the movie"Sleep Dealer, " many mexian work a job named node job.  node job is created by technology.  Empolyees work for Ameica in mexico. They can also see other area in the world by technology.  As this picture, the woman's eye can see the whole earth.   In this movie, many people can see the whole earth. 

It is very easy for they do it.  Technology can let they see many things in this world they never see.  Meno  said the saw many very unfarmilar places when he doing the node job.    I can say the technology change meno's life.  At frist, he got a job for suooprting his family.  secondly, he saw many place he never saw before.  He is able to the earth through the technology.  I think technology is benefit for our life.

blog 17" food unit"

            we are human being living in a same world.  we use many goods and eat much food every day.  How much we know the food and good. Many people never konw the food they eat is what exactly  come form. Many chidren do not the french fries is made up of potatos.   what is the truth about the food.   I think I should have the enthusiasm to find the truth about food. Many people do many things just for find out a truth.

          "The Allegory of the Cave," said a story which is there are a group people in a cave for a long time.  they never see sunlight.  they never see the outside world.  the world in their eye, only small, as a cave.  they did not know the real world.  some of these people left this cave, but they went back to this cave .  they said they can not adjust to the outside real world.  people want to let them escape form the cave, however these people who living in the cave don't want to leave.  It was a very disappoint situation.  They have many opportunities to get out this cave to see the real world, but they give up finnaly.   They don't konw the truth is. Finding a truth is many people love to.  They want to konw the truth like Truman.  
          Truman  is a role in "The Truman Show,".  Although he live a world seems nomal than people who living in a cave.  He has a happy family and a good job.  His life seems very well at the beginning of the movie.  when we saw more about this movie, we both konw that every thing emerged in truman's life is fake.  His wife doesn't love to truman.  His best friend also really are truman's friend.  They are actors.  Truman's life  surrounds much fake things. When he know the truth that his life are a show be putted on TV.  He try to escape this alsand, but the creater who create a fake world to truman prevent him to escape.  Truman try many ways to escape from this asland, but  did not work under the creater's control.  although the creater stop truman to escape, but truman still not give up.  finnaly, his dream come true.  He leave the asland.  The reason that truman want to leave this asland so badly is he want to see the real world.  He want to know what the truth is since he find out he is living a fake world. 
           If I was truman, I think I also choose to leave the asland.  In my opinion, if people know the world  they living have became a unnomal world and they just want to stay or do anythings to change the problem,  the world will become worse.  people also will become unwisdom.  The world need some people to rescue it when it is sick.   therefore, I support neo choose the red bill when he was told "choose red bill , know the truth is; choose the blue bill, stay the fantasy world" by Morpheus.  Morpheus told neo the world he living is unnomal.  The world  and people is controled by computer.  people in this movie is very  ruthlessness and nonchalance.  Preventing the world form computer damaging, Morpheus and his teamate decide to resist the bad people.  Neo choose the red bill,  he aslo decide to resuce the world.  He killed some agents.  He is a hero in this movie at  the end.
            we should have the enthusiasm to figure out the food's real truth for ourselves and your children.

           In “let them eat fat” article, the author states that people eat much fast food every day since fast food was emerged.  Therefore, people become fatter.  Moreover, fast food companies have more aggressive in their targeting of poor inner-city communities.  Fast food is developed by companies.  On the other hand, fast food companies are misleading consumer.  Before I read the article, I have realized fast food if unhealthy.  However, I still was shock the number of one meal which come from fast food restaurant has been jacked up form 680 calories more than half of a teenager’s  recommended daily caloric consumption.  As a consumer, I think should not eat fast food again.  I also want to recommend parents, don’t met their babies eat fast food just because it is cheap.  Fast food is misleading us all the time.

            In this article, the author said :”customers are cheerfully encourage to “super-size your meal” when a kid ordering a cheeseburger, small fries, and a small coke will get said cheeseburger plus a supersize coke and a supersize order of French fries.”  As a consumer, might prefer choosing get the supersize of their meal when a cashier said you will get more food only for 70 cent. How smart fast food companies is.  In fact, it are leading consumer eat more and more unhealthy food. As a result, people will become fatter.   Let us image, if we eat fast food as our lunch or dinner for a one year, how fat we will become.  Becoming fatter it means we will have many potential physical problems in our bodies.  It is very serious problem for very consumer.  considering our health, we should not eat fast food let us fat. 

             As we know, fast food always cheap and get fast and don’t need to wait for long time.  Therefore, more and more people choose fast food as their lunch or dinner.  It is cheap and convent for consumer.  Many parents also take their children go to fast food restaurant.  I was one of these children.  When I was a child, my parents often took me go to fast food restaurant.  I saw many children in there every time.  Actually, I was like to go there because there are many children have the similar age as me.  I can play with them.  If my mother doesn’t want to cook, she will took me to fast food restaurant.  She thought the taste is good.  The price is not expensive.  We both can afford it.  Fast food restaurants   offer some packages for children.  I always choose package.  I have eaten for couple year until I grow up.  I also became a very fat girl.  It was a very painful period of time.  My classmates often laughed me.  They did not want to play with a fat girl.  Moreover, I became get sick frequency.   I did not the reason until my doctor said to me that id fast food let me fat. I should realize the truth.  My doctor advised me to lose my weight.  Then I did according his said.  Through this experience, I learned much knowledge at that time.  I totally agree with the author points out that fast food let people eat unhealthy food and let them fat.  It is not only did not inform consumer the calories of one meal, but also it recommend people to eat more.  Like as encouraged customers to “super is free!”   It is very harm for consumer’s health.

          As a consumer, we cannot control fast food how to extended, but at least we can control our mind.  We should know, we have a choice to eat or not to eat fast food.  Eating fast food is not good for each consumer.  In the future, I will not take my children go to fast food restaurant.  I think it is a right decision.

           ''the meatrix'' which is a movie tells ourselves about where our meat and animal products come from. It shows us how cruel environment animals are living in factory farming. It is a very worse situation for animals. Through this movie, I would like to say that I prefer to support recreate the family farm, because it is good for animals and our communities.

           At first, family farm have a better environment for animals than factory farming. In the factory farm, animals are packed as closely together as possible, most never see sunlight, touch ground, or get fresh air. Many of them can't even turn around. More over, there cruel conditions cause fight and disease among the animal. To fix the problem, the corporate machine began systematic mutilation ,practices such as debeaking chickens. How cruel is! Conversely, family farming has a much better enviroment for animals.There are  enough space for animal. Animals have freedom to walk and see sunlight. In addition, they can eat more natural feed. Like chicken in a family farm, they can eat worms if they like. I think animal is suppose to live in a environemt such as familiy farm.   Comparaing factory cruel condition, I think family farm is more suit for animal living.

          Secondly, recreating family farm is good for our communities. In this movie, there are 12 million pounds of excrement in factory farming. This pollutes the air and ground water. As a result, communities near factory farming high level of related sickness. It is very hard to avoid the situation. Once factory farming set up in a one place, it will cause hundred of people near factory get sick. so, it is  not worth to open a factory farming. In the other hand, family family farm do not have the big problem. Actually, recreating family farming can reduce the pollution , even avoid the problem. As we know, family farm usually smaller than factory farming. The amount of animal in one family farming is limit. The amount of excrement come from animals is much less than factory farm. Although family farm also have pollution, but it is too small to affect the air and water. The effect of pollution by family farm can be ignored because it does not easy to cause their communities get sick. for this  reason, family have a better condition for communities, especially for there people's health.

          All in all, Creating factory farming is not a small deal anymore. In our society, it related animal living and our communities. The environment of factory farm is too cruel for animal. It is also harm some communities near factory farm. On the other hand, family farming have many better advantage condition for animal and communities. It can give animal more natural and good environment,and it does not  have much pollution for our communities. I believe recreate family farm is worthy.

In matrix, neo lives a world and he does not realize it is unnomal world.  Acctually , the world which people living is sick.  At the end, neo find out the truth anf fight with some agents.   As the same things, the pig in this movie, also is told that the factory which is the palce egg and meat come from.  the factory is very dirty as well as the world in matrix movie.  these two movie both like a message  try to let people see somethings they have never seen before.  we are  live in a same world,  we eat food eveyday.  most of people don't konwthe food they eat are come from a sick place.    we are consumer,   we acctually are pushing  the world go to a sick world.  I think these two movie are telling us people have a duty to protect the world from we detorying.
